Customization is not gender locked
The official FAQ says characters do not have a set gender and players can customize their character as they like. The reviewed sources do not list every hairstyle, body option, voice or later appearance-change control.

Linda is introduced as a tailor, fashionista and thrift-shop owner whose work helps people feel confident. The price guide separately explains optional cosmetics. Her biography does not identify starting outfits, shop stock or the way each appearance item is obtained.
