1. Check your device first
Open the PC and Mac requirements and compare your hardware. Mac owners should check the chip specifically: the published minimum is M2, and Intel-based Macs are not supported. For a handheld or console, read platform plans rather than assuming the PC launch covers it.
2. Separate the wishlist, account and purchase
A Steam wishlist helps you follow the store listing. Pre-registration concerns an official Loftia account and announced rewards. Neither is the same as buying the game. Review the price model and use official access links; avoid unofficial installers.
3. Check the launch time and plan to be online
Early Access is planned for November 3, 2026, 1 p.m. EST. The release page includes a regional time table that is readable without JavaScript. Loftia requires internet even for solo play. If you plan to join friends, read the multiplayer overview and keep unconfirmed cross-play separate from confirmed platform listings.
4. Pick an activity you want to explore
The best preparation is to understand the available systems, not optimize an invented first-day route.
- Growing things: compare the three announced approaches in farming.
- Building a home: start with housing and the difference between a personal island and a neighborhood.
- Making things: connect resources with crafting.
- Exploring the world: browse the three regions and characters.
5. Return for version-specific steps
This page will stay at the same address after launch. Actual first-session controls, unlock steps, quest order and useful settings will be added when verified against a current build. Until then, official descriptions are preparation material rather than tested walkthroughs.
